Amazon Gold Ventures: Cash for Gold-Cash for Gold Scams | Tip'd

Cash for gold is a legitimate opportunity. On the other hand, cash for gold scams take advantage of naive sellers. In fact, the person who wants to become a gold buyer faces the same obstacle. As a former professional, Metal Man knows all about it. The good news: "Secrets of a Successful Gold Buyer" can help.

This comprehensive cash for gold guide explains the cash for gold business. It will detail how you can buy and sell gold and silver jewelry and more--for profit--on your own. It will thoroughly equip you for success and save you from costly mistakes. I won't argue that all of the alternatives are cash for gold scams. Instead, let's match them against this book.
1. "PARTNERS"

Several companies promote "partner" systems. They promise to provide details about  buying and selling gold; you would resell your items to them. Despite the clever spin, this arrangement would make you an agent--not a "partner".

Will they teach you how to profit in cash for gold on your own? Of course not; that would senselessly create competition. Clearly, you would be tied to the company. Moreover, those companies pay less for scrap gold and silver--less than the companies you really need to know about. They actively recruits agents, provide limited information, and then pay substandard rates since their agents don't know it ought to be more.
Never mind whether they are cash for gold scams. Just consider the better option. Make more money, pay more to your customers, and enjoy the freedom to choose which companies you resell to. "Secrets . . " will show you how. I don't want your gold; I want to teach you how to make money now in cash for gold--on you own.
This groundbreaking book also presents a long list of legitimate companies that will buy your scrap gold and silver. It actually includes the companies that I used as a professional gold buyer. You can choose any company and switch anytime. I am neither employed by, nor compensated in any way by, the companies listed in my book.
2. GOLD PARTY SERVICES

Gold party services are similar to partner arrangements. The difference: they specialize in cash for gold parties. Either you host a gold party for them, or they host one for you. As a professional gold buyer, I worked many gold parties. I paid my hostesses well, but they would have profited more by handling it all on their own. That was obvious to everybody involved, though. The not-so-obvious point is what these services mean when they claim to pay "the highest prices for your gold."

First of all, only one claimant can truly offer the highest prices. The rest are . . . exaggerating. Secondly, these services are middle men; they stand between you and the top tier companies you should be selling to directly. Obviously, then, they profit from their position. So even their best prices can only compare to other middle men.
Some services claim to melt the scrap themselves. Frankly, I doubt it. Some may cleverly mean they "contract" it to be melted, which really means they send it away like any other gold buyer. This truth twisting characterizes cash for gold scams. Companies that melt gold, buy from professionals and sell to industry. They don't sell gold party advice or tools, nor will they visit you and host it for you.

Services that want you to host gold parties for them (i.e., set up the party, buy the gold, and send it to them) are an option for the serious aspiring gold buyer. They won't fully train you. And they pay low rates, whereas the companies in my book pay just under full market value. As for the businesses that host parties for you, they are just niche gold buyers. So where is the open door? "Secrets of a Successful Gold Buyer" explains how you can make money hosting your own gold parties--no strings attached.
3. FEES

You could pay hundreds of dollars for other cash for gold "opportunities". One company will send you a gold buying kit (a few simple tools) for "only $349". Like movie theater popcorn prices, $349 is a price gouge. One of the biggest benefits of gold buying is that it requires minimal initial investment, yet offers huge profit potential. Furthermore, most of that investment is just cash for buying.
"Secrets of a Successful Gold Buyer" lists and describes the necessary tools. Altogether they cost about $200, and that price includes the book. I even sell a full selection of supplies from the Gold Buyer Supplier (estore--links below). With GBS you can save time and money. However, there's no obligation, and you can buy free tools somewhere else if you prefer.
A second company offers to share the secrets and let you resell to them for "only" a $149 startup fee. Where do I start? To begin with, once again, they won't help you work for yourself. They want your gold, so they won't tell you anything that would enable you or cause you to choose a competitor. Furthermore, legitimate companies that buy scrap from professional gold buyers do not charge startup fees. This company's fee is just a way to profit from the people who ask for their information but never do anything with it. It also taxes the people who subsequently resell to them, if that ever happens.
Are they cash for gold scams? You decide. Their model profits on unsuspecting people who seek a way into gold buying. At the same time, though, it's the consumer's responsibility to study his/her options and make wise choices. Looking for an open door? Buy the book instead.
